01 Overview
Vellopost is an AI-powered social media management SaaS. Teams schedule posts across channels, generate captions with AI, auto-publish from RSS feeds, collaborate on content and pay through Stripe-billed subscription tiers.
02 The problem
A multi-feature SaaS can easily become a wall of tools. Content generation, scheduling, publishing and team workflows all needed to live in one dashboard without overwhelming the person who just wants to get this week's posts out.
03 Constraints & user needs
- Many parallel features (AI captions, scheduling, RSS automation, collaboration) competing for the same dashboard surface.
- Subscription tiers that change what each user can see and do.
- A product that has to feel calm and dependable while doing a lot of work in the background.
04 My role
Frontend implementation for a multi-feature SaaS experience with dashboard-style workflows, including the billing and subscription surfaces.
05 Product & engineering decisions
- Organised content generation, publishing and team workflows into one coherent product surface instead of a feature list.
- Treated the AI caption tools as part of the composing flow rather than a separate 'AI' area, so generation happens where the work happens.
- Kept plan limits and upgrade paths visible in context, tied to Stripe billing tiers.
06 Interface & technical implementation
- React / Next.js patterns for the dashboard and marketing surfaces.
- AI integrations for caption generation inside the composer.
- Stripe billing for tiered subscriptions.
- A reusable SaaS UI system for tables, schedulers and collaboration views.
