Same As You

01 Overview

Same As You is a UK care provider supporting adults with learning disabilities. The product ecosystem spans a public website, a staff portal and an operational mobile app for support workers.

02 The problem

The public site has to communicate warmth and trust to families and commissioners, while the portal and mobile app have to be practical tools for staff doing operational work every day. These audiences pull the design in different directions.

03 Constraints & user needs

• Three surfaces (public web, staff portal, mobile) that must feel like one organisation.
• Operational workflows for support workers who use the app in the field.
• Approachable public communication that still reads as professional and dependable.

04 My role

Created a connected interface language across the public, internal and mobile surfaces, and built the responsive web UI, portal interfaces and mobile frontend patterns.

05 Product & engineering decisions

• Defined one visual language that flexes between approachable public pages and dense operational screens instead of designing three unrelated products.
• Balanced public communication with practical staff workflows so the portal is quick to use on a shift, not just attractive.

06 Interface & technical implementation

• Responsive public website.
• Staff portal interfaces for internal operations.
• Mobile frontend patterns for the support-worker app.
