01 Overview
AfrimarketHub is an e-commerce platform and digital marketplace connecting buyers and sellers across Africa and the UK diaspora, with separate vendor and customer apps.
02 The problem
A two-sided marketplace needs vendors and customers to have different tools while trusting the same brand. Splitting them into separate apps keeps each experience focused.
03 Constraints & user needs
- Two distinct user groups (vendors and customers) with different jobs.
- A cross-border audience spanning African markets and the UK diaspora.
04 My role
Designed and built the marketplace web platform and the interfaces for the vendor and customer apps.
05 Product & engineering decisions
- Separated vendor and customer apps so each one stays focused on its own workflow.
- Kept product discovery and selling tools under one consistent marketplace identity.
06 Interface & technical implementation
- Marketplace web platform with product discovery.
- Dedicated vendor app surface for sellers.
- Dedicated customer app surface for buyers.
