01 Overview
The Smile Outreach is an adolescent-health and women's-rights NGO. Its digital presence is a multi-subdomain ecosystem: main site, academy, campaigns, resource centre, youth lab and an abuse-response map across 7+ subdomains.
02 The problem
An NGO running many programmes needs each one to be findable and distinct, while the whole still reads as one organisation.
03 Constraints & user needs
- Seven or more subdomains with different purposes.
- Sensitive content (abuse response) that must be clear and easy to reach.
04 My role
Designed and built the multi-subdomain ecosystem with a shared design language.
05 Product & engineering decisions
- Gave each programme its own subdomain and identity within one consistent system.
- Treated the abuse-response map as a utility that must be reachable quickly, not a buried page.
06 Interface & technical implementation
- Main site
- Academy
- Campaign pages
- Resource centre
- Youth lab
