01 Overview
MyFerry is a booking platform for Lagos ferries, cruises and water transfers, optimised for the LASWA ecosystem. It offers two-tap booking, live vessel tracking and QR e-tickets.
02 The problem
Water transport in Lagos is a practical daily choice for many people, but booking has to be faster than the alternative and tickets have to work at the jetty.
03 Constraints & user needs
- Bookings must complete in as few steps as possible on a phone.
- Tickets need to be verifiable offline at boarding (QR e-tickets).
- Live vessel tracking that stays readable on small screens.
04 My role
Designed and built the booking platform interface, including tracking and e-ticket views.
05 Product & engineering decisions
- Reduced booking to two taps for the common route.
- Used QR e-tickets so boarding does not depend on connectivity at the jetty.
- Made live vessel tracking a first-class view rather than a hidden status page.
06 Interface & technical implementation
- Two-tap booking flow
- Live vessel tracking view
- QR e-ticket generation and display
